Cypress Creek Café is in the planning stages of its first annual Pink Fest, Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit Concert and Fundraiser, to be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 on their outdoor stage. They are encouraging as much local participation as possible. The CCC is working with the Austin Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation as well as Community Action in San Marcos. Community Action provides services to low income women in rural communities, including Wimberley, who are going through treatment. Funding for these programs comes from Susan G. Komen. The Cypress Creek Café is planning to donate all of the proceeds from a silent auction and ticket sales to Susan G. Komen. Tickets for the event will be $25.00. Performers include Charley Faye, Cari Hutson, Amanda Cevallos, Susan Gibson, and Ruby Dee & The Snake Handlers. This is just the beginning! There will be many more amazing and talented women performing! If you would like to donate an item or service for the silent action, buy a block of tickets for your employees and friends, volunteers to help at the event, or underwrite/sponsor the event, please contact Temple Ray at 512-847-0020 or 512-517-1057 (cell).
