Don’t miss the Wimberley Valley Art League’s annual Wimberley Arts Fest Saturday, April 30 on the Square in downtown Wimberley. The Arts Fest is a celebration of “Arts with an S” showcasing juried fine art in all media, musical headliners Butch Hancock and Friends and Ponty Bone and the Squeezetones and lots more music, plus theater and dance performances. Guest artist Jill Carver, noted plein air painter of Austin and Rico, Colorado, will exhibit.
Popular bands will play all day around the Square: AJ Browning, Gypsy Moon, Kim Miller, and White Shoes and more. Plus light classical performance by members of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra. Wimberley Players will present show snippets at the Fest and the thriller “Night Watch” at the Wimberley Playhouse at 8:00. Actors from EmilyAnn Theatre will stroll the Fest in Alice in Wonderland costumes. Plus! Children’s creative art fun all day. Art of the Car vintage car exhibit not to be missed.
