Community wellness program kicks off this week

The Wimberley Mayor’s Fitness Council and Central Texas Medical Center will kick off the Wimberley LoneStart Wellness Challenge this week. All Chamber members are invited to participate as individuals or as a team representing your business or organization. The 63-day program is designed to help people make healthier lifestyle choices, improve the community’s overall wellness and improve and save lives within the community. Information meetings will be held at 5 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 15 at the Wimberley Community Center. The LoneStart Wellness Challenge kicks off Saturday, September 18 at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. at the Wimberley Community Center. The program is open to individuals and teams from local organizations, businesses, churches and families. The vision of the Mayor’s Fitness Council is to make Wimberley the fittest little town in Texas.
